He is co-owner of CANTINA BRASCHI 1949 and a real “wine passionated”. With several years of experience in the wine sector, he has good skills and knowledge in everything concerning the socio-economic and lifestyle-related consumption, national and international, about wine. Member and advisor for a dozen years of Slow Food Presidium of Cesena., he loves to visit wineries in the free periods in Piedmont, Franciacorta, Tuscany.

Winemaker, graduated in Viticulture and Enology at Faculty of Agriculture by University of Bologna in Cesena. He is co-owner of CANTINA BRASCHI 1949 he boasts decades of experience in the restaurant and Ho.RE.CA. channel. During the last 10 years he has been brought forward a number of vintages, directly following vinification, aging, packaging and design of products on behalf of several national and international wineries. During 2012 he followed the production of the wines of “Fusion Wines” which were produced in the state of Maharastra-India, thanks to the partnership with Kiara Wines, current importer of wines produced by CANTINA BRASCHI 1949 and  ENOICA.

Responsible for the entire wine production department and packaging lines at ENOICA. He is a professionist with extensive experience of managing production processes. He follows the staff and the production department of the wine cellars.

CANTINA BRASCHI 1949 TODAY

CANTINA BRASCHI 1949 is now run by Davide Castagnoli e Vincenzo Vernocchi which, thanks to their meticulous and tireless work in the vineyards and into the cellar, are able to satisfy the most exigent markets producing elegant and modern cru-wines.

They do that maintaining a deep respect for the genuine and handmade way to make wine, typical of Romagna.

A tradition that always has marked the long history of this wine-producer and the region it represents.

On the backcountry hills of Romagna, 350 m. a.s.l., this vineyard extends itself along Savio Valley for 5,5 hectares of  clay and sandstones; the best ones to produce a Sangiovese DOC and a Famoso with a deeply indigenous heart.

This vineyard is on those hills kissed by a breeze that still scents of Adriatic see. Just before that Savio river gets the flat land, 150 m. a.s.l., 3 hectares of calcareous clays, which are perfect to grow up Albana, an indigenous grape variety from which you can obtain a dry white wine or another late harvest one.

A single body vineyard consisting of 10 hectares, in the heat of Romagna. This area is considered the most wine-vocative all over the entire region. Vines are 20-30 years old; they create a scenario of indigenous and international grape varieties: Sangiovese, Albana, Trebbiano e Cabernet Sauvignon.
